"STAY GOLD" by @nicmaxjim may be one of the more difficult pieces to photograph but its absolutely one of the most enjoyable to view. 😍
Because the backround is black, combined with the gloss of resin - you will often catch a reflection of yourself within the piece. And this... Is no coincidence. 💯
The artist forces the viewer to SEE THEMSELF in his work. When we mention the fact that duality is a reoccurring theme, the notion of "Memento Mori" becomes painfully obvious.
So, for that reason - you'll notice a familiar face in slide 2 💀

This is where we showcase other artists we represent who may not necessarily be in the featured exhibit.
This is very intentionally curated so if the work in the front room isn't exactly your jam - maybe one of our other artists will catch your eye. Why wouldn't we want to give every opportunity for each artist to succeed?!

There are no ‘happy mistakes’ in Nic’s work - rather every detail is incredibly thought out and intentional. The work speaks to duality of life and death, light and darkness, sobriety and addiction, religion and secularism. Everything in it’s place - balanced and purposeful.
The most frequent comment of the evening?! “Pictures don’t do these justice!” Due to Nic’s in depth creative process and materials used, his works take on new depths in real life. Colors explode off the wall, layers emerge out from under the resin, and the metallic flake…Well. Simply put, it SHINES.
